Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 19, 2026
The Modern School of Dramatic Arts (“MSDA,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through msdacting.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site, applying to the program, or subscribing to our updates, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
When you apply to MSDA, we collect the information you provide in the application form: your name, email address, phone number, background, experience, and the personal statement you choose to share. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you opt in to text updates, your phone number.
When you enroll and pay tuition, payment is processed by Stripe. MSDA never sees or stores your full card number — Stripe handles payment details under its own privacy policy and PCI-compliant infrastructure. We retain records of your enrollment and payment status.
Like most websites, we also collect standard usage data — pages visited, device type, and general location — through Google Analytics and our site analytics platform. This data is aggregated and used to understand how visitors use the site.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process your application, communicate with you about enrollment and classes, deliver the newsletter and updates you signed up for, process tuition payments, and improve the site and our programs. If you opted in to text messages, we may send class reminders and school updates by SMS — reply STOP at any time to opt out.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work: Stripe for payments, our hosting and database providers, our email and SMS delivery services, and our analytics providers. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site uses a small amount of browser storage to remember your preferences, such as your light or dark theme choice, and analytics cookies to measure site usage. You can clear or block these through your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
Students Under 18
MSDA welcomes young performers. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review this policy and submit or approve your application on your behalf. We collect information about minors only as provided by a parent or guardian for enrollment purposes.
Data Retention and Your Rights
We keep application and enrollment records for as long as needed to administer the program and meet legal obligations. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. To make a request, reach out through our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site and our programs evolve. The effective date below reflects the latest revision. Meaningful changes will be posted on this page.
