Terms of Service
Effective date: August 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of msdacting.com and your enrollment in programs offered by The Modern School of Dramatic Arts (“MSDA”). By using the site or enrolling in a program, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Enrollment and Admissions
Admission to the Working Actor Certificate Program is granted at MSDA's discretion following review of your application. Enrollment in a semester is confirmed when tuition payment, or the first installment of an approved payment plan, is received. Semesters have prerequisites; advanced placement is evaluated individually.
Tuition, Payments, and Withdrawals
Tuition is due per semester as published on the program pages. Payment plans, where offered, split tuition into installments that must be kept current to remain enrolled. Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own terms of service.
Withdrawal and refund arrangements are communicated at the time of enrollment. If your circumstances change, contact us as early as possible and we will review your situation in good faith.
Class Participation and Conduct
MSDA classes are live, collaborative sessions. Students are expected to attend prepared, treat instructors and fellow students with respect, and keep an environment where everyone can do vulnerable creative work. MSDA may remove a student whose conduct disrupts the learning environment, harasses others, or violates these terms.
Class sessions, scene materials, and curriculum documents are provided for your personal study only. Recording, redistributing, or republishing class sessions or course materials without written permission is not permitted.
Students Under 18
Applicants under 18 must have a parent or guardian review these terms and approve their enrollment. The parent or guardian is responsible for tuition and for the student's participation in the program.
Website Use and Intellectual Property
The content on msdacting.com — text, images, branding, and course descriptions — belongs to MSDA or its licensors. You may browse and share links freely, but you may not scrape, republish, or use site content commercially without permission.
The site is provided as-is. We work to keep information accurate and the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site to the maximum extent permitted by law.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
MSDA teaches the craft and professional habits of working actors. Casting decisions belong to the industry — completion of the program does not guarantee auditions, representation, or employment.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as our programs evolve. The effective date below reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the site or enrollment after changes constitutes acceptance.
